Shepperton Allotment Gardens

Kwasi visited the allotment gardens in Grove Street, Shepperton. This year marks the allotments' 150th anniversary. More than 130 people from across the town and other parts of Spelthorne hold allotments at the site.

Kwasi said:

"On the day, I was met by Stan Bulford, the Chairman of the Shepperton Allotment Association. I also met members of his Committee, who were all very friendly. Stan showed me around the gardens, which are remarkably beautiful. I was able to meet allotment holders who were busy cultivating their patches. They were full of pride and enthusiasm, growing all kinds of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Some were even growing vines to make wine."
